Four Channels and Two Shops Under One Brand

the brief

The client runs four YouTube channels (fitness, gaming, hobbies, and designs), and their audiences barely overlap. The site had to point each visitor to the right channel without splitting the brand into four sites. It also had to sell apparel and design work.

what we built

The site has six pages: home, a navigator for the four channels, two shops, sponsors, and contact. It runs on a custom WordPress theme with 21 ready-made page sections and three custom editor blocks. The theme has no build step, so the files we write are the files the site runs. We made this site with our website automation. AI did the first drafts and the repetitive work, and we made every decision and checked every page before the client approved it.

The design reads like a dark printed magazine, with thin lines between sections and very large, tightly spaced headlines. Every label is in a typewriter-style font, and one warm gold covers less than a tenth of the page. We added no lighting effects in code. The only glow comes from a photograph of the brand's real orange neon logo.

build notes

Build notes for Life of Damon

01A block theme with no build stepThe styles live in two custom stylesheets, and the scripts are custom too, apart from one third-party library that comes already minified. Each file's version number is the time it last changed, which makes browsers fetch the new copy after every update.
02Three custom editor blocksThe theme adds three blocks to the WordPress editor: a tabbed navigator for the four channels, a live-stream player, and a button that copies a creator code. It registers whatever it finds in its blocks folder, and a fourth block would need no other code changes.
03Video that doesn't slow the pageEach YouTube video shows as a still image with a play button, and the player loads only when a visitor taps it. The live-stream player farther down waits until a visitor scrolls near it. The page also connects to YouTube and Kick early, so the first tap still starts quickly.
04Motion that can't hide the contentBefore the page first draws, a small script sets up the entrance animations, which keep some content hidden until it animates in. Visitors who prefer reduced motion never get them. The same script starts a 1.5-second timer, which the main animation script cancels when it loads. If that script never arrives, the timer fires and everything shows, so a JavaScript error can't leave the page blank.
05An update script with a one-step undoEach update replaces the whole theme with one zip file, which the script sends over cPanel. It has eight commands, including deploy and rollback. The theme's version is written in two files that must match, because a mismatch can quietly stop browsers from fetching changed files. The script now refuses to deploy until they agree.
06A contact form that works without its pluginIf the form plugin is switched off, the contact page falls back to a custom form that still works. Checks throughout the theme stop a missing plugin from crashing a page. The shop pages need WooCommerce to sell anything, but even they still load if it's missing.
